Pina Bausch Live-Work Space
This project reimagines a live-work space for choreographer Pina Bausch. At its core is a motorized stage that shifts between an open performance center and a more intimate configuration, echoing the fluidity of her choreography. Seating is inspired by the free-form geometry of the Donegal Causeway, creating a natural rhythm that surrounds the stage like a living landscape. Above the second-floor stage, private living quarters extend the design into a vertical narrative, balancing the public demands of performance with the private needs of daily life. The concept explores how architecture can embody rhythm, movement, and transformation while supporting both art and living.
